Frog Tongue Sinker
Frog Tongue Sinkers are a top choice among many beach anglers that love to fish off of the surf. Due to their unique shape, these sometimes called "wedge" sinkers are able to dig into the sandy ocean bottom and hold well in heavy currents and rough overcast conditions. Once submerged, their flattened profile creates a stable base for them to lay on their side. The notched shape near the line tie helps the sinker work its way into the sand with the undertow, creating that secure hold. While on the bottom they resist being taken by the current. Sometimes they might move a little sometimes but usually will not flip like a pyramid sinker does. When these lead sinkers cast, they are known to travel farther distances off the surf.
Lead sinkers may incur an extra shipping charge due to weight.
